For many years, the museum association, in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Monuments Office, the local authorities and the cultural department of the province of Tyrol, has been dedicated to restoring the grand farmhouse in Fiss to its former glory.

The well-known museum architecture office H.G. Merz from Stuttgart, Germany (known in Tyrol for having designed the Tirol Panorama museum) worked together with archaeologists, architectural historians, folklorists and the museum association to develop a new concept.

The association and its many helpers have dedicated a great deal of their own time to the house – with resounding success
